CLASSICAL VIOLINIST IN ORANGEVILLE

ILKO REVAN VENTURA, fondly called I.R. by his mom and his friends and students started his violin career at age 7 in the Philippines. He was a winner of the national music awards for children and has performed in  big venues and international delegation back in Asia. I.R. had been featured as violinist child prodigy when he was 9 and have been a guest in various television and cultural shows.

When he came to Orangeville in 2007 to join his mother, he had to make do with the odd jobs in stores and other business establishments. In 2008, he was given a chance to teach Violin and Guitar at Acoustics tradition and still do to the present day. He has had a few performances in the  Greystone Inn and other pubs in Orangeville and have been invited to jam with other musicians in Alton and Aliston.

He is currently working on completing a CD of his own compositions.

On July, 10, Saturday, I.R. will grace the Catharsis Exhibit with some rendition on the violin or guitar. The mother and son tandem, Ilma and IR had always been known as global multi-media mother and son artists.

I.R. will give support to his mother’s studio opening. After all, they have been a tandem for a decade now.  I.R. used to paint and photograph as well and have sold about 5of his paintings when he was seven years old. He likes to focus on his music career now.

I.R. performs here in Aliston

in a jamming with different

musicians.
